India
There is something that I found in the slums of Delhi, something I've tried to articulate many times before and something I grapple with every time I look at my photos from India. It's something all the people I saw and photographed carry with them. And I am not sure I've been able to put my finger on it or put it into words the way I would like to. But what I know, is that the people of Shadipur carry with them a sense of an untouchable Dignity - capitalized - a Dignity that remains untouched by dust or dirt, poverty, disease, and even abuse.
